COMMUNITY JOURNAL, INC. continues the course outlined by our founder
and my now retired partner Gary Coley. We remain dedicated to sharing news and information among minority businesses and residents
which has and will continue to enable our readers to make positive decision about their lives and their community’s
to improve all of our quality of lives.
This is a time for action. Our mission is clear, grow or close the doors. It is no longer enough to fill a void,
as the only weekly newspaper in the Black community, we must move forward and institutionalize a mantra. We are obligation
to demonstrate that it isn’t enough to preach to the choir if you don’t practice what you preach. We must demonstrate
that what we believe can be realized if only by our example. With that said, we are braced for unprecedented growth over the
next five years. We intend to become the largest and most aggressive media group in the history of Black community based communications
companies, far surpassing the likes of BET now a division of Time Warner.
The Community Journal, Inc. is no longer a small business looking to survive but an up and coming institution
to be respected and dealt with in the annals of corporate America. Yes we are a “for-profit” business and we promise
to extend that spirit of economic empowerment to many other businesses in our community and across this region.
